We need your support to help make a difference for countless disadvantaged children and adults worldwide, by donating to Computers for Charities today.
Much has been achieved since our beginnings back in 1994. Our African schools educational program is assisting over 100,000 children to gain ICT access. New vocational programs developed by CfC are enabling ex offenders and offenders in prisons, to gain much needed educational opportunities including access to employment and represents just a fraction of the charities commitment and support to the wider community.
Our common purpose is very much to aid the Ali's of this world (see African schools page) being either born without opportunity or stripped of opportunity given such adverse circumstances.
1]Individual and Corporate financial support is crucial
- Ongoing financial support is paramount to aid growing global need
- Our operating costs are minimal given 100% volunteer support since 1994
- Environmental and Green practices from onset
- Handling 150,000 requests annually
- Supporting development and projects across the UK and 105 countries worldwide
- Support includes; Humanitarian Aid, Education, Vocational training, Recycling initiatives and more
- Donations can be made online via our online donations page.
It costs? Can you help
- i.e Freight costs providing equipment and resources for 20 African schools and communities = £3500
- Development costs providing new accredited Vocational employment courses = £20,000
- Fuel costs enabling distribution of Aid and Christmas shoebox gifts = £2500
- £40 provides one computer for one overseas school, plus additional items with container consignments including food, medicines, etc
- Gift aid either a single donation or standing order enables us to increase any sums donated by recovering income tax @ 22% i.e. a donation of £100 rises to £122 at no cost when gift aided
- If you pay tax please ask for a gift aid form from Computers for Charities
- Corporate Gift Aid. IR64 enables companies to recover tax when donating goods or finances
