When we started Computers for Charities back in 1994, we had a simple but powerful vision: to pioneer tech recycling and reuse in the UK, specifically to help charities, voluntary groups and the communities they serve. What began as a local project has grown into something much bigger - we're now making a worldwide impact. And here's something pretty special: we've done it all through volunteer power, without any formal funding.

More Than Just Recycling

Our core belief has never changed: people come first. By providing charities and community organisations with the tools and tech they need to thrive, we've seen firsthand how the right support can transform lives. And yes, we're proud environmentalists too - our work helps reduce landfill waste, proving that sustainability and community support go hand in hand.

Why Tech Matters

In today's world, access to technology isn't a luxury-it's a necessity. Over the years, we've helped thousands of organisations, from small charities to schools, through tech advice, hardware support, and more. But our work doesn't stop there.

Our Eastbourne Hub: A Space for Good

Based in Eastbourne, East Sussex, our workshop isn't just a place for refurbishing computers. We open our doors to local groups, offering meeting space, design and printing facilities. Need a spot to collaborate or get creative? Get in touch - we'd love to help!
